365 Shades of Christ
(Daily Insight For Christian Living)

A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth
. Psalm 121:1-2( ESV)

The past 10 months and a week have indeed been the most interesting for people across the world. Words that come to the fore include, tough, challenging, difficult, unbelievable, terrible and a host of other similar words.

Regardless of how the year has been, life must still go on, we can’t hide away from the present realities and just wish things away, nor can we give up like people with no helper.

What then do we do when we have had a tough year?

First, our Scripture for today says we must look to the Lord and the Lord alone from whom our help comes. Only God can send help. Quit looking for someone to help. Seek God and He will provide the help and the helper you need. He is the need supplier and if help is needed, he’ll supply it.

Second, do not be anxious. You have come this far only by God. The Bible says in 1 Peter 5:7 that, Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Take a deep breath, inhale God’s peace and calm down. Quieten your spirit and believe it’ll end in praise.

Third, remember no matter how difficult the year has been, God cares for you and His eyes are upon you through the year. We read in Deuteronomy 11:12 that, A land that the Lord your God cares for. The eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. God is with you always and His grace is sufficient for you always.

Our eternal Rock of ages, we honour You this morning and give You all. our praise. Thank You,
Lord, for we know that You are God from beginning to the end. We lift up our eyes to You this morning for we know that our help can only come from You. Help us O Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen 🙏🏽💕
